My life has been totally affected by the current political events, whether at home, at work or with my friends. I now suffer from a mental illness called the military. I always dream of my four friends who were killed by the military. I even daydream of the military killing Egyptians.

All I do at work is sign in and sign out, just like my colleagues: I don’t believe that any civil servant really works or serves Egypt. Some institutions have even been closed, like the railway authority, the banks and many public and private companies.

The current political situation is sterile and getting worse. Supporters of the coup d’état insist on this situation even if they kill many people. They do not mind killing their own brothers to avoid criminal or international courts. And pro-Morsi supporters refuse to abandon their principle or submit to rule of the military, even if its costs them their lives.

I was against the break up of sit-ins of pro-Morsi supporters by force. Some of the sitters-in were my friends, relatives and neighbours. Some of them were not even affiliated with the Brotherhood.

The future is bloody and this intensified crisis may lead to a civil war between fathers and sons and among brothers.

I expect the current government’s policies will lead to more martyrs and blood because it has taken a one-way path. It may even become more barbarous, considering the stubborn pro-Morsi supporters. Killings are now public viewing on satellite channels and YouTube. Only our local media denies them.
