I am one of those who took to the street and staged sit-ins throughout the glorious June 30 revolution that ousted the Brotherhood, who pretend to be Muslims. I supported and mandated General Abdul Fattah el-Sisi, who along with the army, backed up the Egyptian people against those terrorists who considered us godless and declared killing us lawful, a legitimacy that was removed from them by the people themselves.

I am a teacher and I live in the Ezbet al-Matar area, an area often ignored. I am an outspoken critic of the Brotherhood even though my elder brother is a sheikh who supports them. He elected Morsi and was in the sit-in in the Rabia neighbourhood. I however elected Ahmed Shafik because I hate the Brotherhood’s hypocrisy.

Politics has destroyed my relationship with my brother, who brought me up, for good. Although I tried several time to make up with him, he made it clear that I should first stop supporting the army.

The political situation is better now after toppling the Brotherhood. We all believe in el-Sisi and President Adly Mansour and are sure they will restore Egypt. All supporters and leaders of the Brotherhood should be arrested because they killed demonstrators and because of the terrorism they are practicing in Sinai, particularly the outrageous massacre of 25 soldiers in Arish.

I believe the police did not use violence to disperse the sit-ins. It rather warned the Brotherhood supporters over and over. In fact, it was those supporters who had heavy weapons and used violence.

I expect a better future with General el-Sisi when the revolution principles of ‘Bread, Freedom and Social Justice’ are achieved. I demand the government launch campaigns to terminate terrorists in Sinai and arrest all the Brotherhood leaders.
