Tawfi2 was born in Cairo in 1983 and studied fine arts and animation.His work has appeared in newspapers like Almasri Alyoum, Dostor, Al Ahram, Shorouk, in magazines Aladdin, Majed, Basem, and other European publications. He is a co-founder of Tuk Tuk magazine, for graphic stories. He has participated in several lectures and workshops about comics and illustration. He currently contributes to Samir magazine.
