Laila Al Aifa was born in Bizerte in 1984. She earned aa PhD in accounting sciences in 2009 and in 2010 started working as a presenter of daily economic news at Oxigene FM, a Bizerte-based radio station. She has contibuted to several journalistic publications and online newspapers.
